Nissan Stadium Honor Stadium Manager
Junji Ogura
I was appointed as Honor Stadium Manager of Nissan Stadium in April. Nissan Stadium was the main stadium of the FIFA World Cup 2002 and this is where All Japan Soccer Team played against the Russian team and won their first World Cup game. With this victory, our name was etched in the history of Japanese Soccer. And as the Brazil vs. Germany final game was broadcast all over the world from here, Nissan Stadium, a landmark of Yokohama, became to be known globally.
Since then, Nissan Stadium has been used as the main stadium of the FIFA Club World Cup, and as the home stadium of Yokohama F. Marinos. We are expecting to be one of the venues used for the Rugby World Cup 2019 and the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics.
With the fans who love Nissan Stadium, we will do our best to make this a happy and joyful stadium. We appreciate your continuous support.
Thank you very much. Junji Ogura
